Has anyone tested the new ClearCam app (http://www.occipital.com/)? It claims to make 4 megapixel images - it appears to take multiple images and combines them together somehow!
jailbroken onlyWhy isnt this through the appstore, how would you get it on the iphone?
Its not for panoramas - it somehow take 6 images then takes different "details" from those images from what I can gather.
Aren't there apps in the App Store that help you get a clearer image? I'd much rather pay for an app store app than a jailbreak one.
Looks to be a great app. I tried version 1.0.0 when it first came out and it worked (in demo version) great. I have since updated to 1.0.2 which presumably fixed crashing issues that some appeared to experience with 1.0.0 (not me), and now 1.0.2 crashes during the countdown at 2 in enhanced mode (still using demo). One more thing -- if anybody experienced crashes during the countdown, and an inability to unlock the free trial, you might want to try the update which should appear tonight. It should fix all of these problems.

The way the app combines images is sort of like HDR, any plans to add this kind of feature? Any plans for any other new features?
Sorry. Still no luck after doing the above. That's exactly what we tried to solve with 1.0.2! Sorry you're having trouble. Here's something to try (1.0.2+ only) if you have SSH access:
cd /var/mobile/Library
mkdir ClearCam
chmod 755 ClearCam
Let me know if that works!
