I'm so glad that threads like these are around because it definitely helped me make my decision. I ended up giving up the iphone in general, and getting the palm pre plus. It's definitely a good move I feel. The 4 just didn't impress me much at all. After being with the same type of OS for some years, it can get boring.

Problem 3 - Proximity Sensor issue
A fairly self explanatory problem. The proximity sensors on the i4 seem to enable the screen when moved even slightly away from one's face. The user is then likely to inadvertently press buttons with their cheek/ear causing very random actions to be carried out on the phone mid-call - sometimes with the user completely unaware. An annoyance more than anything.

The solution;
Or try reset network settings.

So you ended up going with an OS that's on its way to extinction. Smart! Even with HP behind webOS, it'll never take off against iOS, android, and upcoming Microsoft.

hah, I don't go with a product just because it's on the top of the 'food chain'. I go with what works best for me. I would assume some individuals would know that web OS actually has plenty of potential. To me it's the only true competition to an iPhone if your speaking of competition. Just my own opinion coming from using android and the iphone OS. I see good things in the future of palm OS. Try one for a day, then say something I'm sure you'll realize something.

Great Post...Finally all in one place.

Haters gonna hate, but this is a wonderfully concise post that sums up the known major defects of the iPhone 4. Case closed. This should be made into a sticky.

Sorry to ruffle your feathers, but the iPhone 4 should be avoided. Apple's philosophy and history of poor product testing is enough for me to say 'Hello Android!!'.

The iPhone 4 looks good enough to buy...much like a poop filled twinkie looks good enough to eat...but would you really want to do either? I dont. :D

Unfortunately batman fans and smiley haters think otherwise.

Fortunately, the only problem mine and my wife have had is the antenna issue. But, putting on a case solves the problem.

However, I think products on the lower end of the food chain most usually tend to result in lack of customer and technical support. I would say good luck getting those benefits when one day WebOS does indeed falls by the wayside and those devices ultimately get discontinued.

Remember, HP publicly stated that they did not purchase Palm to get into the smartphone business (but who knows? Companies do lie). I think the best guess here is HP will be using Palm for their future tablet devices instead.
