I do beta testing for SCSC and they've just released a new version of ClearTime for Mac OS X. You can find out more at:

http://scsc-online.com/ClearTime.html

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that but I figured someone might be interested and I know they're interested in getting feedback on the product. More details are on the webpage I linked.

If you download the demo and run the alarm clock sound, you might want to turn your volume down as a test if you're using powered speakers. The alarm sound is surprisingly loud. I was half expecting one Apples "twinkle" sounds, but the application can be quite aggressive with it's alarm sounds.

It's perfectly acceptable on this site for your friends to post a full set of info for their product here. Other guys have details, almost ads for their products on here.

FYI I used ClearTime a few days ago at a motel. I went out with friends and got back in at 2AM and discovered that the alarm clock supplied in the room didn't work so I thought I'd let ClearTime wake me up. I set the notice using the alarm clock sound, set the volume to high, then put my MacBook Pro to sleep with the lid open. ClearTime woke the system up and fired the alarm clock sound as described. It was loud enough to get me up.

Your friends might want to consider putting a digital clock version in the package too. Just my opinion, obviously.
