The Cleveland Cavaliers and Aramark, a food and beverage vendor, today announced a new Apple Business Chat feature that will allow Cleveland Cavaliers fans to order drinks from their seats through iMessages.

Fans who attend games at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland and sit in designated sections of Cavs and Cleveland Monsters games can use the Messages app to access a menu, order beer and water, and have those drinks delivered right to their seats.

Scanning a QR code on the seat back brings activates the iMessage bot, which allows fans to access a menu and place drink orders. After an order has been placed, payment is done through Apple Pay, and the drinks are delivered.

This will prevent attendees from having to leave their seats and miss key game moments in order to get refreshments.

The pilot program is being tested for the remainder of the season to allow Aramark, the stadium's food and beverage vendor, to evaluate how well it works and whether it's popular with fans.
Aramark made a similar feature available at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, last year.

It should be noted that the Philadelphia Phillies were the first professional team to offer this capability at Citizens Bank Ballpark.

Correct grammar for the headline is “Cleveland Cavaliers Fans Can Use…” ;)

Is that right? I thought Cleveland Cavalier were adjectives so they wouldn’t get an ‘s’. Besides, with Lebron gone it should read something along the lines of “Cleveland Cavalier Fan Can Use…”

Yes, reword it: Does “Fans of Cleveland Cavalier Can Use…” make sense? (It’s not impossible, I suppose, but people are usually fans of teams which get the plural.)

Or, as you put it, “Fan of Cleveland Cavalier Can Use…” :D

I honestly just came here for the comments, and I wasn't disappointed. Of course as a Heat fan it isn't like my team has been relevant for a while either. And I can't use business chat to by drinks either. Oh well.

It’s now easier than ever to ease your pain and suffering as a Cavs fan with booze. I say this as a Knicks fan lol.

Oh. Oh! Cleveland's sports team is called the Cavaliers. I thought they were called the Calves and the OP was claiming that uninterested attendees (AKA cavalier fans) could look at their phone instead of the game. :)

My Pistons could use that. I no longer live in Michigan, and haven't heard their name mentioned once. They must suck. Bring on the drinks.

You're gonna need a Quicken Loan to buy beer at a North American sporting event.

I’m sure all 5 fans at QL arena would love to use this feature.

They have been horrible this season.

I forgot Apple Business Chat was a thing? Slow on the uptake or did it fizzle out?

I completely forgot about this feature. Going to have to try it out at the park this year though.

iMessage needs some serious upgrades in order to compete with WhatsApp and others. Feels like, as usual, they launch something but don't quite keep up with adding new features or pushing the envelope. iMessage feels kinda messy and difficult to use right now, they need to look at simplifying it.
