So here is what has happened:
I own a 2013 MBA - still in warranty.
A few weeks back the backlight would turn on, but the screen would be black, i brought it to the Genius bar and they reset the PRAM and SMC and it was working again - woohoo
a few weeks later the same problem came up, i reset the PRAM and SMC and nothing happened
So i again brought it to the Genius bar. They determined that there was an issue with the grounding so the logic board had fried... ok, no problem, they replaced the logic board and all was well...
Until... a few days ago i realized that every time i pick up the Air i could hear a click (not form the mouse...!!!) so i tried to reproduce the noise and determined that it was coming from somewhere on the inside. Ok, so here i was again yesterday at the Genius bar... this time they told me that the noise is coming from a clip that is located between the bottom case and the battery .... "ok, so you will be fixing it right?" WRONG.... the genus told me effectively that since this is not impeding my "normal usage" there will be no repairs!!! "Excuse me? So they swapped the bottom case which the Genius made seem like he was doing me a personal favour.... Seriously?
After the replacement the noise was still there.... So i called customer relations and now they are sending this information to their engineering department... ok... but the CSR on the phone basically said that if the engineering department does not determine that there is an issue there is nothing they can do for me... WHAT?
So my $1500+ MBA will keep on making this annoying noise every time i lift it and
is not going to do anything about it?
So here is what i am thinking... I'll wait to hear back from the engineering department and if there "nothing" they can do for me, i'll start a class-action and see what happens...

Does your MBA make this noise when you pick it up?

i have seen a number of people with this same issue on the boards and some get a replacement while others don't.. all seems very arbitrary...
