Just installed Turbotax 2017 on my 2017 nTB MBP running macOS 10.13.2. After the install, clicking Launchpad does nothing. I am able to bring up Finder and launch any app from there. Clicking Launchpad from Finder also does nothing.

Anyone else encounter something similar where clicking an app in the dock is non-responsive?

I tried looking for Launchpad in the task list in the Activity Monitor to see if was somehow running as a zombie and to kill it, but I didn't find anything.

I guess I will eventually reboot, but this is a bit worrisome.

I once had a similar problem. Can you access launchpad with the touchpad motions? Try restarting your computer and see if that fixes it. Hope it works. Cheers.

A good old reboot fixed the problem.

It used to be that I never had to reboot my mac except for certain updates to be applied. However with 10.13, I had already had 3 instances of unscheduled reboots to make things work.
