Hi guys! Bought the iPhone XS Max Space Grey version 2 weeks ago.

I first noted the clicking noise when pressing as demonstrated in the video below.

iPhone XS Max clicking noise.

The clicking noise was loud as I was unhappy as this is not what I would expect from a device that cost more than $1000.

I did an exchange a few days ago and although the clicking noise is noticeably less (currently at the upper right side corner), it still annoys me to know that I paid $1000 over for such "flaw". However to be fair, it does not affect the functionality at all. Video below demonstrates the replacement unit's clicking noise.

Anyone having this issue as well?

I mean who does that with their phone? Mate paying 1000 doesn’t automatically immune a mass produced device to become one piece work of fine art. It’s a device produced in millions.

I just don’t get this obsession of pressing a device all over around to literally look for issues.

Glass flexes who knew and maybe its the same with all of them who knows! As has been stated don't press it, jeez I put my XS (not max) in case and use it. I cant see why I would go around pressing the entire thing looking for issues and I have to say I had to have my volume way up to even here it. You have applecare (I assume) so use the phone and move on knowing its covered.

The XS Max is a large iPhone, there might be some creaking when pressing on certain angles, and what you’re hearing is the adhesive and screen slightly popping because of the pressure being applied. Your best method is to not test every iPhone for this, as they all likely exhibit this type of behavior in some form.
