So I just started to notice a haptic feedback but with a click sound when force-pushing down on the camera or flashlight from the lock screen. Nothing else from the phone does it. And both make the same click sound so I’m not super worried, but just curious if anyone else has this happen since updating to 12.1?

Whew, it’s normal?... I feel so much better. I thought I’d clicked the phone too much or something, or that the phone glass front and the steel frame were hitting against each other.

    Thank you so much!!! :D

Do you know if that feature is for Xs only? My regular X doesn’t do the same thing after 12.1 update.

My X does not make any sounds when pressing the Camera or Flashlight from the lock screen....the only thing 12.1 did was give the buttons a slight delay when pressing them :(

I've had these clicking sounds on my X since running the 12.1 betas. Not sure why yours wouldn't be the same.

Is there an orange line above the hardware switch on the left side of your phone above your volume rockers?

It's ok. I'm not really losing sleep over it.

I also don’t have my phone on silent and my system haptics are enabled. Looks like a bug.

Honestly the Xs and iOS 12 have had the biggest glitches to me.
The top speakers weren’t giving out sound until I did a force restart.
I’m restoring it again to see if that helps.

Just realized that the click sound only occurs on the „unlock lockscreen“. Once it is unlocked and you bring down the notification center and then click the flashlight or the camera icon there is no sound. Maybe that’s also how it is supposed to work.

    Many greets
    Chris
