I just got a new Macbook Pro like 2 days ago, and I just noticed that when I pick it up or move it to put on my lap etc., it makes a weird clicking noise and it's just once!!
Its coming from the middle of the notebook..just read somewhere that they have motion sensors that prepare the hard drive for impact, or something like that? Anyways just wanted to check and make sure everything is normal! It's not every time I pick it up, but if I pick it up and move it abruptly or "shake" it lightly.

Motion sensor telling you to stop shaking the laptop.

Its kind of like when you shake your baby and it starts crying. Its not a defect. Its a feature.

Just caught me off guard because I picked it up to put it on my lap!
