My computer makes a clicking type sound when I lay a hand or finger on the hand rest. It sounds very similar to the track-pads click (but it isn't).

Would it be reasonable to assume that someone at an Apple Store could fix it?

(Am I being too picky?)

I'm tempted to take it apart myself because it is inconvenient for me to take it to an Apple Store.

If you have the correct tool, it might be worth just looking at the how the baseplate is located, it may not be fully tightens or misaligned.
