Everytime I reboot my computer, either from Bootcamp, or after an update (or just a regular restart) the time zone switches to Cupertino time, and it should be set to EST.

Could it just be the logic board battery, or a software issue?

I have the new Macbook (10/2008)

It's a leopard issue, not your Macbook.
