OH
I saw that it was reported that there were clock widget issues in the betas but I’m experiencing one. I had the clock set to NYC because I’m on east coast time. Several hours later I look and the time is off by quite a bit. So I changed it to another east coast city, it showed the correct time. I changed it back to NYC. Many hours later I look and it’s off by several hours. So I changed it to another EST city and several hours later it’s off considerably again.

anyone else having this issue?

I’m having this issue too. Both when set to New York or DC

I have had the issue as well using the single clock widget. The clock would stop when I had it using New York. If I restart the phone the clock would then operate correctly. I am going to submit a bug report, hopefully others do the same. I am running iOS 14.2.

As noted in the link above, this has been an ongoing issue for users (regardless of time zone) - and I guess its been there since the Betas.
One might think that Apple would have had a 'Head's Up' on this long, long ago - it being one of their own OS apps after all - but I guess they are more preoccupied with other more pressing matters. Y'know, adding more emoji and the like.

There has been no fix. The clock widgets are just plain buggered (they also don't reflect correct day / night times in multi-timezone widget).

IMHO this, amongst some other Widgets, are a complete waste of time. Regardless as to how they work there is no excuse for a digital clock on an iPhone not to be accurate. If they can’t get it working, it should never have been launched.

So far, after I restarted my phone, the clock widget, set to New York has been holding very accurate time. It has only been 2 days though since I added the widget.

I just unlocked my phone and I noticed the clock widget on as frozen at a time that was about 12 hours off the current time. I also have a Smart Stack widget that has 4 clocks in it. When I bring that up, the single clock widget refreshes to the current time and starts working again.

My clock as well is wrong many times (London time) I have to restart the phone for the clock to display the right time. But after a couple of days the time will be wrong again. This is obviously a bug

What I found that is a work around is to place a single clock widget in the widget screen and leave it as Cupertino time.

EDIT: As it turns, my work around ultimately does not work. This morning the clock widget was frozen and not displaying the correct time.
