hello all,

is there a simple and free way to move a windows install to another drive?

I have a 2011 iMac with uefi windows 10 on a partition of an internal ssd

I am going to add another ssd to my iMac and would like to move my windows installation to that drive

if it was mac os I would just use carbon copy cloner or a time machine snapshot or something

is there a similarly simple way to accomplish this with windows?

even if I have to do a fresh windows install and then move everything over in a migration assistant type manner I'm happy to do that but I'm very windows ignorant and not sure how to do that

thanks in advance for any wisdom, information, advise, opinion...

According to my friend ’s experience, WinClone is not for everyone because he has failed to use it many times.

I've used it several times problem free, perhaps your friend's experience was not related to the quality of the product?

browsing the Winclone support forums gives the impression that a lot of people have trouble getting it to work at all. the price seemed a bit high for a gamble. I just ended up doing a fresh instal and copying over the files I needed (I don't use windows much so it wasn't a big deal for me.)
