hi there, I am new here..
All I need to know if it is possible to clone (so I can back it up) my Windows partition (which is on another sata HDD) and what software would be good..
(if any)

I already know that CCC cannot do this...

All I want to avoid is having to go to windows and use Acronis TRue Image, because it is my experience that this program uses proprietary file and that it can get corrupted...
And mostly I want to manage everything from the OSX side of the fence..

Thanks a lot people

Winclone from Two Canoes software (twocanoes.com) does just what you want. I'm not affiliated, just a very satisfied user.

hey thanks... please explain procedure, I mean. Can i just use a command from my osx Lion dsktop and that s it?

Will it clone everything that is necessary for for a HDD to be bootable. ?
Does it work to backup my Windows parition and then be able to restore in case of failure, ??
thanks a lot

It is not a command line application, but instead a fully graphical application. Read the website for more details but yes, it will fully clone a Windows partition on a Mac so that you can restore it.
