Closed Captioning Out of the Blue?

Its happened a few times now. closed captioning turns on without me having activated it. I have to go into Settings to turn it on and then back off to get it to turn off.

Why is this happening?

I had this happen to me once too. Only happened on some programs. Seems to have fixed itself.
