closed captions / subtitles not working

Hi,
iTunes doesn't show my closed captions / subtitles anymore since I've upgraded to maveriks last week. Not when playing videos from itunes directly nor through ATV. And the weirdest is that they do show up when playing with my ipad or iphone.
It's really annoying, I'm playing them on the ipad and airplaying them to the ATV...
Anyone else with the issue? Did I miss to do something during the upgrade?

I just checked it... it seems that the "Auto" setting isn't working in iTunes (11.1.2) with Mavericks. I changed it to "English" for captions and they come back...
