Night mode offered in Ultra looks awesome.

Is there any way for Series 4-8 owners to have this?

I would guess it means just creating a watch face with the color red.

Advice on this is appreciated.

You can make a red watch face and a shortcut complication for night mode to automate switching watch face.

Alternatively, you can write to Cook. He seems to read customer emails and figure out ways to profit off them. So he might listen to your request as long as you are willing to pay for another upgrade.

Can you please elaborate? I’m confused.

I feel that I can make a red watch face and just switch back and forth to it whenever I see it depending on my outdoor conditions.

What is this shortcut complication and how would it help further? Genuine question. Thank you!!!!!

It’s a theory, I haven’t done it myself.

But on your iPhone, open Shortcuts app and create a shortcut called “Night Mode”, then add “change Watch face”

You’ll make two of the same Watch faces, one normal, the other red.

Duplicate the shortcut, so that the normal Watch face will change to the night one, and the other shortcut will switch back from night mode to normal Watch face.

In the Watch app, set the normal Watch face with the night mode complication, and then set the night mode Watch face with the other shortcut automation to revert back.

I use the Infograph watch face, you can’t change the color, only accent color.

Been wanting Night Shift for years. I fill out the apple feedback form a once a year asking for it. Seems like every Apple device except for the AW has some sort of Night Shift feature

I have the original modular face sent to Rose red. All that is on it is the time, an alarm complication, and the voice memos complication. I have a Siri shortcut that runs every day at 9:45 PM put my Apple Watch on theater mode and switches to that watch face. This works but if I’m wearing it or even if it is on the stand charging.

What @symphony said re: Shortcuts. I do something similar.

An Automation in Shortcuts set for "At Sunset" calls a Shortcut to flip to my "night time" watch face. And then a time based Automation for first thing in the morning to flip to a different watch face.

Actually, don't need to code any Shortcuts, just need to have two Automations that have one Action, each one calling "Set Active Watch Face" Action.

Night mode would be awesome on all watch faces, I know as mentioned it can be achieved yourself…but as we pay for the hardware which isn’t cheap, then why can’t apple implement this in a software update?
