Believe you me, you won't be disappointed -- no matter which Mac, the experience is truly enjoyable and makes music production, as well as 8 zillion other things, a breeze. Every time I turn on my Mac, I still have that new-computer-giddy feeling.

I vouch for that, just the fact of learning new OS is fun.

Hello again everyone,

yesterday i received my shiny new 15" cMBP. Good good am i happy with my decision! It's a fantastic computer. Everything i wished for and more. Though it's the baseline model it is clearly no slouch in any department, so i can not wait to stick 16gb ram and an 840 in there.

I can not recommend Certified refurb machines enough - mine came perfect, not a scratch, not a singe charge on the charge cycle count.

Thank you all for your help, you all gave some fantastic advice.

Peace out :D

I think it depends mainly on components' MTBF... Since the rMBP component technologies are not mature yet, I suspect the cMBP has a higher MTBF, hence it has a better quality and resale value over time...

Once the rMBP gets mature (more than 3 years in the market), it would have the same or better value than cMBP since the latter would be non-existent... :D
