I would hang up long, long before I spoke to anyone on the phone for an hour. That is, if I even answered in the first place.
I use my phone for work, so its not unusual to be on the phone for extended periods.

I am not interested in calls. For me it's about going to the store on the weekend and not taking my phone. I have a 7 Plus and it doesn't exactly fit into workout shorts pockets very well. So being able to hop in the car and drive to the hardware store or grocery for a quick run without the phone would be great. The two things holding me back are the monthly cost ($10 is pretty steep), and the possibility of not having all day battery.

I ordered a LTE+GPS 38mm Space Gray w/ Gray Sport Band not really for the LTE aspect of it, but for the better S3 CPU/W2 chip, the GPS, and the ability to swim with it. I am coming from a S0 and it works, however, it is woefully outdated. I can use it for when I will not want to get my new S3 dirty or possibly marked up. Like a lot of others have been saying, I can see myself using it to run to the store without my phone or other similar situations. I live in a high rise apartment building on the 7th floor, and one thing that will be amazing is the fact that if I forget my phone and get to my car and realize it it's no longer an issue and I do not have to get out of my car, go back in my building, wait for the elevator (which can take forever sometimes - people hold it up having conversations) get to my floor, get in my apartment and then go through the opposite to get back down. That will be AWESOME!

On a smaller note, I like the fact that I will get all the Heart Rate Sensor uses. For example, resting heart rate is not supported on the S0. No clue why, as I would think that is a software based calculation based off what the heart rate sensor is reporting but I digress. Also, Apple will get things figured out with the connections and patch it and MAYBE that will increase battery life a little bit.

Anyway, for me I am getting a WAY faster Apple Watch (I would assume more than 70% since that is based off the S1 & S2) the ability to swim with it, GPS, LTE, and all the other great things it can do. I'll be happy.

I like your thoughts here. But I wouldn't be too concerned about not having the possibility of 'all day battery'. The Apple Watch is dependent on how you use it. But for the sake of having LTE and the freedom of not having your iPhone tethered to you when you go somewhere briefly, I think that alone would be a huge advantage if you can appreciate that. As you mentioned, $10 a month to your carrier, is only justifiable if it's convenient enough for you.

But being I use an iPhone 7 Plus primarily, I also would rather not have to have that with me all the time, being its such a large phone.

Haha. I’m not disagreeing with your point....but there’s a certain irony in Apple announcing a £1149 phone and then on the same day announcing a watch where the main selling point is that you don’t need to use that phone.
