O'Brien wisely chose TBS because most cable systems carry both the standard definition and high definition TBS channels if you have a digital cable box or a TiVo S3 or Premiere box.

I'm not sure this is the smartest move, regardless of how much $$ they threw at him.

For instance, last night they had 2 or 3 hours of just family guy playing, Tonight 3 hours of "The Office" Tomorrow night 3 hours of Tyler Perry.

I'm not sure how many people tune in to watch nightly marathons of syndicated tv shows, i.e., reruns.

While fox has its own problems, at least they have sports and some new programming to draw viewers, I don't think there's too much draw to tbs at this point.

I don't watch marathons of re-runs, but I still find myself watching Friends and Seinfeld on there... even though I have the entire series on DVD. :D

My point mostly is that they mostly fill a weeknight's programming with marathons. Monday - family guy, Tuesday - The Office, Wednesday - Tyler Perry, etc. That's not the strongest draw for people to stick around and watch conan.

From what I've been trying to find out it looks like he has More controll of what goes on than what he did on fox i was channel hoping last night and that's one of the reports Acsses Hollywood and E! both said. just sucks he's still on the same Time slot as Daily show...

with TBS, he will never get back to where he was with NBC. but at least he has some home.

i would think he is now placed behind Kimmel in 4th, if that.
i think the ratings will be Leno, Dave, Kimmel, and then maybe Conan.

and 11pm is a horrible time. That is the news time. Few above 35 would watch him (not like they do now anyways) at that time and you cant count on the sub-35 group to really carry your ratings from season to season. They are a fickle group.

oh well.
