cocoa- linking to another program

    In my application I am developing I need to be able to press a button and then an external application opens I.E. spaces but I don't know how to do this :apple:

    Use AppleScript. NSAppleScript might help you.

    I need to use cocoa to utilize various features of cocoa if you know a way to get the best of both do let me know features

    I don't understand the question. I would expect you to have opened the documentation in XCode, searched for the class I suggested, read the documentation and, therefore, understand what it is and how to use it. You would then go and write code. Which bit are you struggling with. Note if you expect me to post code for you to copy and paste and kid yourself that you are programming you are out of luck: that's not how I roll.
