My battery is at 97% capacity. How's yours?
You will get countless different answers (as is the case with the dozens of other existing threads that have discussed this topic), which are meaningless, since everyone's usage is different. Your battery is fine. It is perfectly normal if your battery health (maximum capacity) is more or less than 100%, even when brand new, or if it fluctuates up or down over time. The gradual decline is not in a straight line downward, and it may decline more rapidly at some times and slower at others. For further details, read the CHECKING STATUS AND HEALTH section of the following link. The link below should answer most, if not all, of your battery/charging questions. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend you take the time to read it. Apple Notebook Battery FAQ
I was not saying I thought there was something wrong. I just wondered if others were having the same readings.
There are plenty of threads that may give you what you're looking for, such as this one:
post your battery health snapshots ..
Mine came with 95.5% battery health with 6 cycles out of the box. This was for the 1.2/512 SG model.
mine was at 98% when I got it (health), it had 23 cycles on it (weird)
how it's at 32 cycles and down to 91%.
any lower I will have to take it to Apple to check it out
Best to not worry about your battery and just enjoy your new laptop.
Mine is now at 87% after 2 years of use
How's your battery health like now after many weeks of usage?
