I've downloaded all the coconutbattery stuff and the icons are on my desktop, but when I click on them they appear in the bar at the bottom of the screen, bounce a couple of times, then disappear. i.e. it doesn't open. What should I do??

As for the battery: it's 3 years old, so I guess it is nearing the end of its life, but I am suspicious as it suddenly started to give up the ghost just a few days after I installed the AirPort card. Does this usually affect the battery? It's only lasting half an hour now (suddenly down within a few weeks from about two and a half), regardless of whether I have the AirPort on or off.

First question, are you running the proper version of coconutBattery? I seem to remember accidentally downloading the Tiger version onto a machine running Panther and it wouldn't open.
