Hi guys i have the Macbook 13" aluminium the latest type 2.0Ghz duo 2g ddr 3 ram 9400 NVIDIA Geforce card pretty much stock standard. Well i just wanted to ask you guys wether COD 4 will work on my Mac book in a Playable sense (of course im not expecting high graphics capability). It doesnt matter PC or Mac Port. also if it doesnt can anyone suggest an alternate multiplayer shooter that will work?

dont have internet for couple of weeks getting new deal + theres gotta be someone out there with COD 4 for MacBook

Judging by benchmarks the GeForce 9400 is a bit faster than my Radeon 2400 XT. I get about 20-40 FPS on 800x4xx and a combination of low and mid settings, so yours should be faster.

You can search Youtube for videos of various games running on unibody Macbooks.

absolutely it will be playable. you should expect 30-40 fps in combat scenes and if you need extra FPS just turn down shaders.

It's playable on my White Macbook with the crappy GMA X3100, so...yea it will work lol.

i have COD4 on the base alubook.

it's around 20-30fps most of the time if you play on native resolution. however, if you tweak the console a bit and turn off shadows you fly into the 40-60 zone 🙂

Just tried it on my Macbook 2.4 on a default settings, it works almost perfectly. The only (very little) lag part is the raining scene at the begging but it should not stop you from playing the game.
