i should probably be banned from ever using Mac again.. but accidents happen!
i dropped my mac by accident.. and it's still working but the case is slightly damaged..and slightly open..
and to add insult to injury,, i spilled hot steamy coffee -also by accident- on my poor mac.. i wiped it clean immediately.. but i think some coffee and sugar got through the keys.. which made them a bit stuck and a couple of them aren't working.
miraclously.. it is still working.. but i guess that's only the case till it finally crashes for good...
thing is i live in Sudan..so there r no apple stores here..
but i might send it to get fixed somewhere.. so i need an estimate on how much that costs..just an estimate!
i bought it n 2008.. so ma warranty and services have expired..

I think at this point you should just buy a new Mac.

Just kidding, but that may seem like a good option. I can't imagine how much Apple would charge you.

I was afraid someone is gonna say that..:(
but it is working normally..except for the two keys that aren't working..
i wanna do the check up to dodge a possible disaster!

You can buy an external mouse/keyboard to increase the remaining life of the computer, but if you are going to get it repaired (especially by Apple) then you might as well get a new one and get some money from your old one by selling it

We charge $99 USD to replace the keyboard on your MacBook. This includes parts, labor, and even domestic shipping.

This price is competitive, but I'd hope you could find a shop to do this work in Sudan for a reasonable price.

I would do the green thing and get it repaired instead of throwing it away.

i think you would have to either replace the top of the case containing the keyboard and the mouse pad which isnt really hard to do and its inexpensive or use an external keyboard and a mouse...
third option is to buy a new one..
