College bound, when to buy?

we have a college-bound child this year, figures he'll buy a unibody macbook. When is the right time to buy? That is, when does Apple come out with incentives targeted at this market? I know I've seen rebates on iPods, etc.

This is less of an issue of waiting for the latest model and more one of waiting for the best deal.

Free printer year-round. Education discount year-round. That's about it.

Around July. Their is a promo where you get a $200 rebate for an iPod, that and you get the Educational discount.

I just brought a MacBook for my husband, we got a $100 rebate for a printer, and since I work at a college I got $100 off the MacBook.

I already work at a US college and in fact, having just purchased a MacBook for my wife, have the free printer waiting for junior here. I was hoping to see a deal on an iPod along with the purchase as junior just cracked his iPod Touch screen. So it sounds like we'll get to hear about whatever Apple has in mind around June/July timeframe.
