so i recently bought a waterproof sleeve and this thing is hideous and huge for college , was wondering how often have you guys in college used a waterproof sleeve ? or should my backpack + umbrella + a decent sleeve be enough to protect my computer from water damage ? ; also i do have accidental damage with spill and drop protection on the laptop

so should i return it or keep it ? and if your wondering what the weather is like i live in texas

Quite honestly if Texas is anything like a hotter Kansas, you'll be fine with a smaller sleeve from Incase or something like that with a good backpack and an umbrella. I had a neoprene sleeve from Incase with an LL Bean backpack for my MBP when I started college. Now I have a Rickshaw Bags sleeve (fits the rMBP better than Incase) and a Jansport backpack. So far no water damage from rain.
