Hi,

Just curious, instead of putting a coating on the macbook LCDs, couldn't Apple just have adjusted the color balance to get the same effect? The goal was to have more saturated colors, and one could achieve the same result by deepening the reds.

you can get the same level of saturation by doing a simple color adjustment...it won't be exactly the same as a coating on the screen (you won't have any reflections) but in principle you could achieve the same effect
