Color Coding Files With Mac

im burning some text files to DVD and want to color code them so they are easier to see.

ive colored them accordingly in the finder prior to burning, but once i actually burn the disc the color goes away and does not appear on the final dvd.

any idea how i can work around this?

What program are you burning with? I know Toast will keep colour coding when burning Mac only or Mac & PC disks.
