Hi,

I'm currently using FCS 6. I have a sequence in FCP that ends on a freeze frame. But when I send the sequence to Color, it doesn't treat it as a freeze frame, rather an entire clip. So it gets to the point where the freeze frame would be in the sequence then shows the whole clip (even including before and after in/out points) from which it was made.

I'd like to find a way around this because I want this to end on a freeze frame which I'd then like to manipulate in Color.

Thanks.

Export out the freeze frame in the codec that you are using. So, for example, if you are editing in DV you'd export out the freeze frame as DV. The simplest way to do this is to put an in and out around your freeze frame in the timeline and select Export-> QT Movie (not QT conversion). In the options select Video only and check "make movie self contained." Then take that newly created video clip and put that into your timeline.

Color 1.0.x doesn't like freeze frames, still images/gfx, multiclips, speed changes, nested sequences, or mixed and matched frame rates, frame sizes or codecs. And that's just off the top of my head early on a sunday morning.
