I have an iMac running the latest OS and an HP color laserjet. Whenever I use the laserjet to either print what is on the computer screen, be it a web page or a photo, the resulting paper output has color that is a lot different than what is on the screen.

I'm not looking for high-end photo color matching, but...when I have red in a photo or on a website, I'd like the areas on the printed output to be red in the same place as they are on the screen. Close is good enough.

I've looked through the various settings in the OS "Preferences" and if there is a way to "adjust" color, I sure haven't found it.

Where should I start with what I have now?

I've "fiddled" with the "ColorSync" and "In Printer" buttons within the print settings. Neither gives me "RED" when there is red on the screen. Is there a particular profile I should be using?

    Thanks!

Try taking a picture of a printed color sample against the monitor so we can see what your problem is. Turn on lots of lights in the room and don't fire the flash.
