A woman in my office is having an issue and it's up to me to solve it.

She has a desktop Mac with Microsoft Word on it. Whenever she prints a document that has any color in it, the color is omitted from the final product. Anything that is in black & white shows up, but anything that was in color, doesn't show up at all and is left out.

I'm fairly new to Macs so I'm a bit lost here.

Check her printer settings and make sure the "print in grayscale" isn't checked. 🙂

Hit CMD+P and when the dialogue box opens, make sure the presets are correct. Not set to print just black and white. Check the ink cartridges in the printer.

Have her print as normal, but instead of printing click "save to pdf" and then have her open it in Preview to see if the colours are there. If they are, it's a problem with the printer. If it looks wrong in the PDF then it's something Word is doing.

Then try also printing that PDF and see what happens.
