Sue Apple.

Unless Apple can prove that the paint caused the damage, they're violating Magnuson-Moss by refusing service under warranty. They don't have to maintain your custom paint color, but refusing to repair under warranty is not legal.

Actually I can't sue Apple. They clearly state that if their products have unauthorized modifications that you surrender the right to your warranty. It's clearly lined out and I knew that going in so there isn't much I could do.

Doesn't matter what they state if you're in the US. Federal law prohibits voiding warranties because of modifications.

Even better, find a class action lawyer. Apple needs to be smacked down HARD for warranty nonsense.

If you're not in the US, I'd be surprised if you didn't have even better consumer protection laws, I'm just not familiar with your specific situation.

Thank you but the amount of time, money, and effort it would take to go through all that really isn’t worth the $600 or so dollars I spent on colorware AirPods.
