I just noticed that a site's colours change noticeably from being viewed locally to being viewed online. Both through Safari on the same display. Seems to be a colour management thing with Safari but why discriminate between on and offline content?

no there is nothing like that.. i think its the browser fault check it on chrome or Firefox for best appearance ..

Some sites load external stylesheets through HTTP but when offline it can't do that and if the local cache is cleared or not in sync you'll see variances obviously.
