I have an Apple Watch pride 2020 sport band. The colours are, what I would describe, as running now.

I’ve tried to wash the strap in Luke warm water, but is t helping.

Is this normal? As I say it must be nearly 2 years old, so don’t presume any warranty , and if so they don’t sell them now anyway.

Anything I can do?

I had a RoadID band that I loved, it was a 'special edition' for the Tour de France a few years ago and eventually the color on the band faded making the band look sad and ridiculous. But the colors are printed on the silicone like substance so I had to realize that the good times weren't going to last. Showering and hand sanitizer didn't help its longevity either, I'm sure. I'd bet the same thing happens to the Apple bands.

When I buy bands like that, I either never wear them, or wear them a couple days/weeks, and they go into the cabinet for storage (likely to be tossed after I die).

I'd hope the Apple bands last longer, but eventually the colors will fade and distort, sadly...

I’ve never worn in shower. It’s not used all the time, I swap bands about, I have used in gym, so sweat sometimes.

I was expecting a little better tbh. It’s genuine Apple, just wondered if it’s normal.

I got that band as well and have worn it for a total of about a whole year, during summer time (summer in CA is quite long :)). To me it looks like new, color wise and no marks. I do clean it every day in the shower, so it’s exposed to soap regularly (I soap the band only, not the watch).
So no issues here

I’ll try with soap in shower then as well. Can’t be me, I don’t live in a hot country either.

Maybe I should contact Apple? Maybe a faulty one then?

I little crusty in the holes, but holding up well. Awesome.

My Nike (Black/Hyper as I remember) band looked a little shiny around certain parts of it, and it was starting to take the shape of the pressures it's under when being warn. I was a little concerned it could break, but it never actually gave me any indication that it might. It just looked like it had been worn for a few years. I can see if I can find it and get a pic of it.

It was this one, loved the pop of the hyper green.

No color running, but the RoadID bands sure do. I wonder how Apple does it...

EDIT: I don't know if I'd notice any fading if it did fade. Looking for band...
