I had a kernel panic today, and I looked at my Console after rebooting. Then I noticed that Console was plastered with crash reports for com.apple.dock.extra:

    Screen Shot 2016-03-27 at 1.25.29 AM.png

It seems that iTunes, iPhoto, Reminder, Calendar, etc are causing this:

    Screen Shot 2016-03-27 at 1.22.25 AM.png

And this is the content of each individual report:

So, what is wrong? I already repaired permissions in Recovery Mode. And I booted into Safe Mode, and I still get the same error message. I was just staring at Console, and new crash report popped up...

And here is the detail for the kernel panic. It doesn't seem related to the crash reports I've been getting:

    Thanks in advance.

    Extra info:

I noticed iCloud-based apps are mentioned during the crash - FaceTime, Reminder, Calendar, iPhoto and iTunes. I haven't seen Notes, Contacts and Messages being mentioned though...

Created a new account, and within seconds of logging in, I got 4 crash reports...

Furthermore, it seems that all iCloud-based apps are somewhat causing the crash... In the image below, apps likes FaceTime, Messages, etc are also part of the crash.

    Image1459125792.425830.jpg

I also restarted Finder, but no luck

Looks to me like it may have something to do with Avid.

Thanks. Should I uninstall entire Avid apps?

A member from Apple Support Community suggested clean-installing the OS... Is that the only solution?

From my understanding, DockTilePlugIn is what displays notification on Dock icons... And somehow iCloud-related Mac apps are affected. Hmm... Could this be an issue with ML having difficulty communicating with iCloud server?

It wouldn't hurt to try that.

A member on Apple Support Community confirmed that iTunes update 12.3.3 indeed was causing those errors. He/she opened a new admin account where those errors were not present, but as soon as he/she updated iTunes to 12.3.3, those errors came back.

Another member solved the issue by deleting system files listed in the crash report (ie. System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/XPCServices/com.apple.dock.extra.xpc/Contents/MacOS/com.apple.dock.extra)

That won't help, since upon next reboot of your Mac, MacOS will reinstall the file, and the problem will still happen. Deleting this file wouldn't be the fix anyway. Apple recommends deleting the plist file in your home folder at ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.extra.plist. However, this doesn't always help, and not everyone with this problem has a com.apple.dock.extra.plist file, at least not at this location. If this doesn't help, I don't know the fix.
