It is. I cut one of mine which had stretched then used flame to seal the cut edge. Solved the fit issue.
That sounds interesting. Was it not hard to get the metal end back onto the cut and flame-sealed edge?
 
You are describing the sport nylon loop. This topic is about the braided solo loop. The ends are the metal clasps that attach to the watch. If you remove one of those, the band cannot be attached to the watch.

My size 10 seems to be looser on my wrist now. Any more ideas about shrinking it back to it's original size?
