Combine two videos into 1.

What is the easiest way (or a hard way I just want something that works) to take a movie that is split into two parts and combine both parts. I work mostly with avi files.

Anyone have a good solution, only thing I can think of is loading into iMovie but it would take forever to export.

Why? How long is it? You could always start the export as you go to bed.
