Combining Mac Minis

I have 2 mac minis at my fingertips. I've done a bit of we scanning and had some very foggy info so I thought I'd see my self. Is it possible to use both my macs as 1 doubly strong computer, a sort of 'merging' thing. Or is this just some fantasy.

By ethernet would be faster than firewire. But you still need xgrid-aware apps to take advantage of it.

Google Apple xgrid for more info. It is not a trivial thing and you need an app that is written for the xgrid.
