Combining terminal split files on a PC

So i have this huge 8 GB file that i need to give to a friend. Problem is he has a PC and I have a mac. the MS-DOS(FAT) format, that mac can read as well as PCs, cant transfer a file that large so i have to split it. I know how to do that in terminal but i don't know of a way to combine them on a PC. So my question to you is simple that, is there a way? and if so, how?

or am i missing another obvious method to get the file to him?

Sounds like a job for MacHacha. Let us know if it works. I haven't had to use it for transferring over to Windows machines.
