Is it possible to install a Combo update on a computer in target disk mode? Also, can I install a Leopard update from a Tiger computer to a Leopard computer?

My graphics card in my Mac Pro has died (x1900), and it's replacement is arriving today, but the 3870 requires 10.5.2, and I only just updated to Leopard. Can I install the 10.5.0-10.5.4 Combo update over TDM from a computer running Tiger (one that I'm borrowing)?

Yes you can. When you put your Leopard computer in TDM and connect it to the Tiger mac, you run the combo updater on the Tiger mac and select the Leopard mac's disk to install it on.
