I just got my Mac back from repair (I will be sending it back because it’s noticeably louder. I’ll post a thread in the MacBook Pro forum later). But i noticed after doing the time machine restore (not from recovery screen).. my Mac is noticeably snappier than before.. it got me thinking, it’s not the computer itself, but Mojave. Delta update after delta update after delta update definitely CAN slow down your system.. I feel that Apple should give us the option to install the combo update or the delta update under system preferences or wherever the update section is.

^^^^They do. If you prefer to install the complete OS rather than the point updates or the combo updates, you need to go into you system folder and trash the Mojave installer. Then go to the App store and re-download Mojave. You will get the lattest full OS installer.

not everyone has this experience (with mojave, or, for that matter, any mac os). updates should not, by default, slow your system down (or create havoc, or ruin your day). unless everyone is having the same exact experience, you have to consider that there can be other factors involved... and probably not useful to make 'absolute' statements...
