Comcast Xfinity Stream App Gains AirPlay Support

Will the Xfinity app do anything if you aren't paying for TV service? I'm guessing that's a "no." I know you can subscribe to TV packages with the Flex box, but I'm sure that'll be every bit as expensive as bundled Internet and TV service are now.
