I have this sudden urge to rent some of his movies from Netflix (http://www.netflix.com/RoleDisplay/Norman_Wisdom/30000885) but I don't think my wife and kids would understand.

His films were on TV constantly when I was growing up (along with Morecombe and Wise, The Two Ronnies, Tony Hancock, Eric Sykes, The Goodies, the Carry On films and more I've forgotten.) I decided he was too ridiculous to watch some time in the mid 70s, but I have a burst of nostalgia now.

it's not obscure at least not in a bad way. i love that song in all of it's variations.

as soon as i saw the topic i jumped in to see if anyone else would remember the Human League connection. :rolleyes:
