You hear that right. What a joke......... Considering that iOS 4.3 is going to be out in 2 months +++

If they are going to release the unlock after iOS 4.3 too i think im going to cry

Hope geohot will own their ass once again.

I don't really care since i do not have any iphones on 4.2.1. It just sucks for everyone who does.
 
The unlock is where people usually lose the most, not the jailbreak.

Most of the jailbreak community saves their hashs, so it's not big deal. Heck 4.0.1 was a good enough OS. :D
 
That's funny because they keep waiting for the next update and it just keeps going.
 
Has there been an announcement from apple on 4.3? Where are you getting this 2 months+ projection?
 
i m still very happy with my ios 4,1 jb with limorain i don t feel the need yet to have the latest as mine works as charm and never had a prob. As i ve mobile me finder is not really a plus.
 
I also guessed two months. well, i figured sometime in Feb, if ever, a release date of 4.3. After that is to close to IP5/iOS5 release and not sooner as no beta's released to dev's yet.
 
I fail to see how anyone could put any interpretation on that statement. We know as much now, as we did before you started this thread.

There is not even a GM version out.


Took more than 2 month for apple to release 4.2 after they released the GM beta 1

same here I'm still on 4.0.1 jailbroken with jailbreakme.com lol :cool:

4.2.1 does have a few features that intrigue me but not enough to give up my JB... I can certainly wait, even if it takes until 4.3
 
I am also happy to wait - I am on 4.1 and in no hurry. I am still puzzled that people buy an unlockable phone and then complain that an unlock is not available soon enough. I am very happy there are smart people willing to work hard creating jailbreaks and unlocks free of charge.

You do not use GM and Beta 1 in the same sentence. GM is gold master which is the version just before production. There are a bunch of beta's before you get to the GM.

Meant Beta 1, thought they were synonyms.

Add me to the list. I still have 4.0, and using my "MyWI" every day. I'm more than happy to wait.
 
I think what Comex meant was that the longer he waits, the less likey it is that Apple can patch the hole used for the untether. Therefore it would depend on when 4.3 comes out. If it comes out tomorrow, then he'll release it. If not, he'll wait a whie and release when he feels enough time has passed. There are rumors of 4.3 coming son due to the new "daily" news app from Rupert Mordoch

I guess we'll see.

Not a bad idea for a sticky somewhere to define alpha, beta, GM, final, etc. To complicate things it doesn't seem that devteam releases a final, they just stay with the last beta.

Following that logic we might also wait for iOS 16. Nobody knows when iOS 4.3 will be released. And it is surely not this month.

I understand and respect your opinion but i disagree.

The thing about that JB is that it will work with some devices. Which ones? We don't know yet.
 
The Dev Team seems to have some faith. They just posted this today with the new redsnow tethered jailbreak: "This should help ease the pain of the tethered jailbreak until @comex comes up with a 4.2.1 untether (or for those of you with legit access to the 4.2b3 IPSW, until the “Jailbreak Monte” untether is out of beta)!"
