Hi all,

a friend of mine had this problem that his Mac was constantly asking for keychain password.

"Spotlight wants to use the "xxx" keychain"
"identityservicesd wants to use the "xxx" keychain"
"ScopedBookmarkAgent wants to use the "xxx" keychain"

etc, etc…

After setting the keychain password to be the same as the login password, the issue is fixed, with one exception though :

"CommCenter wants to use the "xxx" keychain" keeps showing up after each restart.

What is CommCenter and how to get rid of this ?

Many thanks in advance.

(Macbook Pro Retina, 10.11.6, FileVault is used).

Looking at get info in Activity Monitor is looks like it is part of Messages. How about turning Messages off then back on again?

Hi,

thank you for your help.

The window with CommCenter asking the login password shows up as soon as the session opens, before Messages is launched.

I think Messages has a background process that runs all the time even if the app is not open, and commcenter is part of that (apparently). Just for grins try the off/on sequence to see if that helps.
