We all know those commercials, the ones you just have to mute when they come on because if you don't they will literally make you angry. Unleash your fury here! If you can find your most hated commercial on youtube and post it, that would greatly enhance the thread. This is currently one of my most hated commercials, it's for Optimum internet and if you don't live in the tri-state area you probably haven't seen it. Hate on, everyone! I'll post more as I remember them.

I can't think of any right now since I haven't watched cable TV in a while, but one of my dad's friend who worked in a advertising agency said the point of an ad is to have someone who will remember it. It's much easier to make an annoying one than a great one. He made one of this Chinese commercial 25 years ago that's super annoying and I still remember some of it today. I can't recall a great one I love.

Get a Mac – "Better"

This one might be controversial here, but they bugged the hell out of me before switching and then after. It's hard to fault Apple for the discontinued services mentioned in these because they have stopped running the ads; however, Apple really did seem to pride itself in being a marginally smaller pain in the ass.

Wow, that was terrible; we're off to a good start.

The diaper commercial with a bunch of babies running around to All About That Bass.

I hate that ****ing commercial. Well, it's not the commercial I hate, it's the song. Such a worthless, piece of crap song, and it angers me that somebody could get famous and make millions off such insightful lyrics like "it's all about that bass, bout that bass, bout that bass, no treble" while in the meantime, there are excellent rock bands out there writing actual music with meaningful lyrics who will never see the kind of fame these awful pop artists have.

But the commercial infuriates me because that song infuriates me. It could be adorable puppies running around to All About That Bass and I'd still want to chuck my remote at the TV.

I hate those vague pharmaceutical commercials. You know, the ones that you have no idea what it's for, but they spend the last minute and a half explaining the terrible side effects.

Oh you mean the ones that have the main character hiking in the woods or walking on the beach in grayscale while piano music plays in the background while the narrator tells you all the reasons why the side effects of the medication are worse than the disease it's treating?

Yep, those are the ones. And I agree, those are just terrible.

Yup. The only ones I understand are the Viagra commercials when you see old people smiling and flirting with each other.

My favorite is the pill for overactive bladders that causes dry mouth.

I can't stand that musical ad for the company that loans businesses money. Makes me cringe every time it comes on. Can't grab the remote fast enough.

You talking about this one ........ I HATE THAT ONE TOO!!!!

Yeah, those Rx commercials are running rampant all over the nightly world news (on CBS, ABC and NBC) at 6:30 pm. The music is what makes me crazy. It's hypnotic. My wife and I always laugh at the side effects warnings. :D

I am in upstate NY, Seems like every 3rd commercial is him. I can't stand him either.

That's where I am. The "city" in NY that contains half the population of the state but covers 90% of the land area of the state. We have probably a half dozen of his dealers within an hour of me - Kia, Ford, Chevy, Hyundai, VW - seems like every other break has at least one of his commercials.

"Mute" button = "No Rage" button.

Mute even makes some commercials more intriguing. For example, are those happy people on the beach the users of a bladder control med, an erectile dysfunction med, an antiperspirant, a laxative, or a sunblock lotion?

Are the earnest-looking older men hawking lawyering services, glitter cream, or debt-collection leg-breaking?

The narrator in my head is so much stranger than the one on TV.

Geico Geico Geico Geico Geico Geico over and over and over...

They can be amusing until seen for the 10th time. Howerer, the Geico pig commercials annoyed me especially the one on a date with a human. Cross species dating intolerance? I actually felt ill will towards Mr. piggy. ;)

Don't judge us too harshly, Huntn. Some of those commercials are really damn annoying.

one eight hundred six two four two UURRRGGGHHHH

More observation than judgement. Enraged is a pretty strong emotion. :)

It really annoys me when online ads, websites or services assume the wrong language or redirect me to a localised version, instead of serving the proper content (not that I don't understand it).

Especially after having already visited or set preferences.
