I drive about 4 miles. Once the snow melts I'm going to start biking/running.

I used to ride my bike to work, in the summer. Then we moved and now I just drive my car it is just to far to ride the bike. I really miss it though.

To school - I drive. It's 35 to 80 minutes in the morning, average 40 to 50 depending on traffic.

When I leave, if it's at 3, it takes about 20 to 35 minutes to get home, average 25.

If I leave late from tennis, which I'm now doing, it takes 30 to 55 minutes to get home, average 35 to 40.

Oh yeah, and it's actually ONLY 13 miles... but it takes forever.

I have to walk about 2 minutes to the tram stop, and then it's about 10-20 minutes to uni on the tram (depending on traffic). The cost of parking alone is enough to put me off driving there.

I use a combination of mainline and underground trains. When I'm working in the office it's about a 45 minute journey to central London, when I'm at college in far away North London, it takes anywhere between an hour and an hour and a half.

I don't mind the commute at all - I think it's probably the norm for most people who work in Central London. Because I live further out, I can usually get a seat, so the time passes fairly quickly reading a book or listening to my iPod.

There hasn't been a strike yet since I moved, but when there is, I have no idea how I'm going to get to work.

When I was in school, I lived at the bottom of a big hill, where campus was at the top. So, I would take the bus up the hill and depending how tired, take the bus or walk my way down.

Now, I drive to work. I don't live that far, and there is no public transporation. However, if there was a direct rail to where I work, I would take it in a heartbeat. Also, when I need to go to Dallas to the AAC I take the train. I did have some meeting in downtown Dallas last year, and always took the train. It was easier and I was able to get a lot of work done. Lot of stops on the train, so it is slow sometimes.

I walk to Uni, it's about a 30 minute walk, not too bad and it's generally flat. Fantastic now that it's cooling down over here.

Town is about 10 minute walk, the train station about 5 and the bus terminal about 20 minutes for the bus ride up to my parent's place. Sydney is an hour and ten on the express and about 1:40 on the "all stations."

From Sydney it's about 5 hours to Auckland, 7 or 8 hours to Singapore, 13 hours to LA, 17 hours to Vancouver, 24 hours to London, 5 hours to Perth, 10 hours to Tokyo. From LA it's about 5 or 6 hours to New York, from there it's about an hour to the train station, from there it's about 4 hours to Boston, from there it's about an hour on the plane to Halifax, from Halifax it's about 18 hours on the train to Québec.

Small, small world.

Motorbike. I run my own one-man company that sees me frequently visiting more than one client a day. Not all of them are near Tube stations, so my own transport is required, and there's no way I could get a car as there's nowhere to park it at home.

Besides, the bike's really fast off the lights, and I get to look cool in my leathers

I ride my bike most of the time (except when it rains; but that's not very common here). It's a 25-30 minutes ride between my house and the University (less if I'm in a hurry); that's actually less than it takes to walk to the underground and then taking it.
