I thought companies weren't allowed to update their apps to iOS 7 yet...or did Kno just not get the memo?

They can if they use the iOS 6 SDK, but they just can't submit apps updated/made using the iOS 7 SDK.

I thought devs could submit apps updated/made using the iOS 7 SDK but wouldn't show up on the App Store until iOS 7 was live?

No, they can only begin submitting apps updated using the iOS 7 SDK once the GM is out.

Either way if they use the iOS 6 SDK or iOS 7 SDK. Developers are bringing out fixes for iOS 7.

i wish whatsapp would update their app. my push notifications stopped for whatsapp specifically with beta 4. beta 5 didnt fix it. i emailed them and they said "right now we have no plans to support ios 7".

the response was a bit shocking and...scary. i mean its one thing to say we dont support your os right now and we will only update an app after ios 7 is released. but its another to see we have no plans to support ios 7.
