I gave a long close look at all of the MacBook Pros the last time I was at the Apple Store (both the 17" hi-res matte and glossy and the 15" standard glossy, hi-res glossy, and antiglare hi-res). Out of all of these, I liked the 15" hi-res antiglare the best. I thought the 15" seemed much more portable and the extra screen space and resolution of the hi-res was worth it. I didn't think the pixel density was as bad as I thought it would be. I also thought the 17" antiglare screen was easier to read text on (it was sharper and easier to see) than the glossy display. The standard resolution 15" (1440x900) is the same resolution I have on my 15" now and I didn't see it as much of an upgrade, if you looked closely you can see the pixels on the standard resolution display, I thought the hi-res display was much nicer for working with photos and video. I just thought the 17" seemed too bulky for most portable uses, and setting it in your lap, although the weight and thinness was not bad, it was just too large.
I didn't even really look at the 13" - I think 1280x800 is the same resolution as the MacBook and MacBook Air and really not an option for me, plus it doesn't offer anything greater than a Core 2 Duo as far as performance goes, it's not much of an upgrade over my 2.4GHz 15" 2007 Santa Rosa model.
